UCO graduate, Grace Newman, was recognised as the Institute of Osteopathy’s Rising Star at their annual awards ceremony last month.
The awards are an opportunity to celebrate the very best in the profession, recognising individuals, practices and societies who have made a significant contribution to osteopathy.
The Rising Star award is presented to a newly-qualified osteopath who has demonstrated a passion for osteopathic practice and outstanding academic achievement, clinical skill and patient care, and is selected from the top graduates of the year as nominated by each of the osteopathic educational institutions.
Grace Newman said: "Receiving the Rising Star Award from the Institute of Osteopathy for the recognition of all of my hard work, commitment and achievements is a great honour and privilege. I would like to thank the UCO and my wonderful family for all of their support and encouragement over the years. It highlights a very promising start to my career at an exciting time for the profession.’
UCO tutor, Jim Ruddick, also won Principal of the Year at the gala dinner in London.
Huge congratulations to Grace and Jim!
