Sharon Potter is the UCO’s Acting Vice-Chancellor.

Sharon has been at UCO, and its predecessor organisation the British School of Osteopathy (BSO), since 1997 starting as Deputy Registrar and working her way up to the post of Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education) which she held from 2008 until July 2023, when she was appointed Acting Vice-Chancellor.

During her time at BSO/UCO, she has either led or participated in many landmark achievements for the institution including the receipt of Teaching Degree Awarding Powers (TDAP); the rebranding from BSO to a university; the award of Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) Silver shortly thereafter. She has overseen the important academic and professional service functions within the institution and is therefore excellently placed to lead the institution through this difficult period.
