University College of Osteopathy joins Health Sciences University

We are delighted to announce that the University College of Osteopathy has joined Health Sciences University (formerly AECC University College).

As of 1 August 2024, the UCO School of Osteopathy will be one of a number schools to proudly sit within Health Sciences University (HSU).

This is a significant moment in our institution’s history as we reflect on our remarkable journey from our formation as the British School of Osteopathy in 1917 and our evolution to the University College of Osteopathy one hundred years later. From our humble beginnings, we have grown into a globally-respected institution known for our commitment to advancing healthcare and shaping the next generation of osteopaths.

We now look forward to our next chapter. As part of Health Sciences University, we will harness the combined strength of our institutions to broaden our scope and ambition, to achieve excellence in education, health and research, to create a healthier society, and to foster a richer, more diverse student community.

Pride in our Heritage

As we join Health Sciences University we bring over 100 years of expertise and a reputation for excellence in osteopathic education and research. We are proud of this rich heritage and are committed to maintaining our international reputation and leadership within the osteopathic profession, while also looking forward to new opportunities for collaboration and growth.

This transition is a chance to build a new legacy that honours our past while embracing the future.
