Dr Jerry Draper-Rodi is an Associate Professor at the UCO and an academic clinician.
Dr Jerry Draper-Rodi is the Director of the National Council for Osteopathic Research (NCOR) in the UK, an Associate Professor at the University College of Osteopathy (UCO), a visiting fellow on the international osteopathic research leadership programme (UTS School of Public Health, Australia) and a clinician.
Jerry’s research streams include:
- knowledge mobilisation, incorporating the development of the first osteopathic practice-based research network in the UK; he has published on the impact of using e-learning CPD on osteopaths’ attitudes, knowledge and reported behaviour and patient outcomes; he advances the use of evidence in practice by supporting osteopaths to use and reflect on Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs).
- Research methods in complex interventions: Jerry has broad experience of applied research approaches and has experience of qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods designs, systematic / scoping reviews and Delphi studies.
- Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI): Jerry pioneered the first study in EDI in osteopathic education groups involving all UK osteopathic educational institutions; leading a multidisciplinary team.
Jerry has experience of Master’s and doctoral level supervision, is a reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals and sits on several professional committees. He has raised more than £150,000 in grants and been a successful co-applicant on grants totalling £100,000.
