Meghan Reed is a full-time Master of Osteopathy (M.Ost) student at the UCO.

I chose to study at the UCO because...

I really loved the location. It's so nice to be able to look out the window and see the Shard and to be able to walk to Borough Market with friends. I also loved the welcome I received when I visited the UCO - everyone was so friendly and it felt like a huge family.

I chose osteopathy because...

I loved the idea of being able to work with patients both educating them and in a hands on way to try and make a difference for them. I had never been treated by an osteopath myself, so I did a lot of work experience with chiropractors, physios, GP's and osteos to decide which route I wanted to go down. Utimately osteopathy stood out because of the patient care and longer, patient driven sessions.

My favourite aspect of the course is...

Anatomy at the moment - though I feel this is going to change as the course gets harder.. I find the lectures really engaging and interesting and going over work with peers in groups after class has proved invaluable.

The atmosphere at the UCO is...

Really friendly. From lecturers to clinic tutors, receptionists to peers everyone is really kind and friendly. Come exam season, there's a lot of focus and you can tell we all want to ensure that everyone does well.

My most memorable moment at the UCO has been...

Some of my favourite moments have probably been going for post exam meals and drinks with peers from the year group - a great way to destress post exam.

The best thing about studying in London is...

Being able to hop on the tube and go one stop and feel like you're in a new city.

If I were to describe the UCO in one sentence it would be...

A very bubbly and enthused place where students, staff and patients work together with one ultimate goal - to make a positive impact on patients lives.

If you were to give one reason why someone would choose to study at the UCO, what would it be?

The kudos that the uni has is exceptional. I am forever being told by practising osteopaths that the UCO is the best for education and also future employment.
