Olwen Grindley graduated from the Master of Osteopathy (mixed-mode) course in 2015.

What are you doing now?

Working in two countries, still loving being an osteopath!

Do you have any tips or advice for new graduates?

Stay connected to people you study with, as you may need support and your classmates and tutors are the best ones to help you.

What are your plans for the future?

Keep on being an osteopath! Keep learning, keep questioning, keep an open mind, keep making a difference in people's lives.

It is great being an osteopath because...

You can change someone's life. In your day job. Regularly. Who else gets to do that?! Job satisfaction level = high!

The most rewarding thing about being an osteopath is...

Being able to help people 'get their lives back' by explaining or resolving their problems/pain.

The biggest challenge about being an osteopath is...

The ones you can't help.
When someone says you have 'made them worse'.
Feeling responsible for the health of others.

What would you say to someone who might be considering a career in osteopathy?

Do it, it is such a rewarding career! Observe an osteopath first, understand a little about what the profession is like, talk to various people, then apply to the UCO! ;)
