Fiona is Course Leader for the Postgraduate Certificate in Academic & Clinical Education course, as well as Head of Knowledge at the UCO. She currently lectures at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Fiona has always been enthusiastic about both osteopathy and education and taught at several institutions including UNITEC, Auckland, New Zealand and Leeds Metropolitan University, as well as addressing various osteopathic, educational and sports related conferences across the UK and Europe.

She has developed teaching teams in several different institutions, supporting experienced professional osteopaths in their development as educators and providing an insight into the challenges and opportunities of combining these roles.

Fiona studied for her MA in Medical Education in two different institutions; UNITEC and University of Bedfordshire (UoB). Both programs involved students across different healthcare professions increasing her awareness of the opportunities and challenges of intra-professional study and broadening her experience of postgraduate educational study. Her dissertation explored conceptions of learning in students, educators and management. She has used these experiences to develop and lead the PgC ACE course creating an educational programme specifically designed to suit the professional manual therapy practitioner wishing to develop as an educator.

In her spare time she enjoys rowing on the River Thames and spending time by the sea.
