Gift Aid is a government initiative that allows charities to claim back the basic rate of tax on received donations, increasing the donation amount by 25% at no extra cost to the person making the donation.
This means that a £50 gift-aided donation to the UCO would be worth £64.10, which would equate to two hours' worth of treatment at our community clinic for older people.
All UK taxpayers are eligible to make Gift Aid donations - all you need to do is complete a Gift Aid declaration when you make a donation to allow the UCO to claim back the tax, and you'll be ensuring your money goes even further.
When you donate on our JustGiving page, you’ll be asked to confirm whether or not you are a UK taxpayer. If in doubt, please contact our helpdesk via fundraising@uco.ac.uk
