The UCO recognises that students may be affected by psychological, emotional and personal difficulties during their time with us, which may have an impact on their mental health, wellbeing or their ability to study.
Our diverse counselling team are available throughout the week to listen to you, without judgement or criticism, and to help you find ways to better manage some of the challenges you’re presented with.
We offer free short-term counselling to all of our students. You can request to be seen by a male or female counsellor when arranging an appointment, as well as counsellor from an ethnic minority background.
You might want to consider counselling if you’re experiencing some of the following;
- Anxiety
- Low Mood
- Bereavement
- Addiction
- Eating Disorders
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
- Low self esteem and anger
- Trauma
